No NES?

There's a lot of great consoles missing, sadly.

If you ever find a Starwars Battlefront 2 game for xbox, hook me up with it. I'll buy it off of you.

I shall keep your request in mind.

now make a news post about all the books you own

I own very little books, actually.

My Game Collection? More like MY LAME COLLECTION.

Though seriously, have you added me on PSN yet?!

And you did kinda make my morning when I read your Commodore 64 list which included; Detective and Monty On The Run. The two games I loved most on that system. Reading that list took me back and I never found another NGer who liked those two games :')

My collection is not lame :'(

PS-what? Sorry, I can't hear what you're saying because XBOX LIVE IS SUPERIOR! Seriously though, I'm never on PlayStation.

Gagsy, I have a confession to make. The Commodore was given to me by my uncle, and as all the games are on cassette tape, they take ages to load, so I've never played most of those games. I'll be sure to give them a shot at some point though, just for you!

IM THE LUCKY GUY!

YOU'RE THE LUCKY GUY!

You're Scots and a Mac user. Two more questions; are you a rock/metal fan? And are you me?

I'm Scottish. I'm a Mac User. I listen to punk/skinhead music. Am I you? It's a possibility.

I am impressed - especially with the PC section. I was planning on recommending all the pre-oblivion elder scrolls games to you, then I saw that was only the XBox section and you had them over on PC.

The other game I was planning on recommending is Terranigma. It's an old SNES RPG, produced by Quintet. It's essentially abandonware now, being sixteen years old and produced by a company that have not made a game in years, so I'd recommend simply emulating it.

Thanks. I don't do much emulation, but it's something I might look into until I get around to buying the consoles, which I do plan to buy at some point.

I emulate the fuck out of just about every previous-era gaming system that has a good library of games. There are just so many systems out there that wouldn't be worth paying the full price, and due to the fact that you'd be getting all the games and such second hand not a penny of it's going towards the devs.

Also, I'd suggest getting Oblivion on PC along with XBox. I thought I saw it on both earlier. RPGs like that really are meant to be played on PC, as you can probably tell from the piece of magic that is Morrowind (my second favourite game ever, after Terranigma).

I suppose you could call me a collector though. I like playing on the original consoles with the original controllers. Emulation doesn't quite cut it for me. I also like looking at all the boxes and stuff in my wardrobe. It's just nice to browse through old games and play one at random.

As for Oblivion on PC, it's possible. It's one of my favourite games, but I don't see anything wrong with the console version. I mean sure, it's lacking in customisation and stuff, but I already think it's a great game and I've played it to death.

You need the dragon age expansion! and fallout new vegas...

Thanks for reminding me. My brother got New Vegas today, but he sold the PS3. Still have all the games though.

looks like you got your ass kicked

I beg to differ.

How does one play Assassin's Creed on Xbox Live?

You can't.

Thats just incredible !!
Like the AVGN !

Only I don't make 'funny' YouTube videos. That's what makes me unique.

The thing is with Terranigma is that even if you get the console, due to the rarity of English release versions the cheapest you're likely to find the game online is fifty quid or so. I was planning on buying a SNES simply to replay the game a few times more, but I don't feel like spending three times as much on that one game as I did on the console itself.

Understandable. Most of my older consoles I bought for almost nothing. I just found them in car boot sales.

Quickly ! preorder TES: Skyrim!
Quickly ! preorder Brink
Quickly ! preorder Dragon Age 2

that is all for now...

I will be buying TES without a doubt. Not pre-ordering yet though.
Brink looks interesting, but I think it won't be much of a success.
I've still not played the first Dragon Age. I've been told it's not so great on console.

Thanks.

or you should sell them

I can't sell my children.

true, dragon age is worse on consoles, but the only real differences is no top down view, less hotkey spots (obviously) and its harder. its still an amazing game though. I'd recommend it over TES oblivion...

Well, I will be sure to look into it and possibly pick up the first. I can't imagine it costs very much at all now.

I got like 950 games for my old NES. :P

They have to be real, hard copies or they don't count :P

Your signature is a very graceful reference to a good album. I was pleased.

It's always nice to see people appreciate good music.

I don't see any Rock Band games there. It's a shame. :(

I played GH3, thought it was okay and then decided I didn't want to pay the price of a new game only to get new songs to play. I still enjoy playing GH3 from time to time though.

Jesus christ! It's like you walked into an Exchange and bought the entire store!

I would still add older consoles to my collection if I could snap them up at a reasonable price. I've often wondered the value of all this stuff, but really there's no way of knowing.
