Exams are over, I didn't bother looking for a job, so now I have nothing of importance to do. I guess in a way I should be quite excited and in some ways I am, but at the same time it also means that I have to keep myself occupied. Most of my friends are in full time work, so I don't really see much of them, meaning most of my time is spent at home. The lack of job means I have little in the way of disposable money, so I'm having to make do with the stuff I already own to amuse myself.
I finally finished reading The Hobbit, after owning that book for around 2 years and having already attempted to read it once but left it for so long that I decided to start again. I have now moved onto reading 1984, but there is always a gap of several days between reading, so who knows when I will get it finished.
My trusty Xbox is another form of entertainment for me right now, although I have grown used to playing as part of a party, so when there isn't one available I tend to lose interest quite quickly. I guess this is the part where I give a big shout out to Toast-Tony, since he has provided me with many hours of laughs and entertainment on the Xbox. Hopefully I'll get back to playing Bad Company 2 with PhrozonFire, warshark, Snuff and H-A-X-O-R-Z (and anyone else who wants to join) when their exams and whatever else are out the way.
I was also meant to be meeting Black-Ops and LazyPint in Edinburgh on the 9th of this month, but Black-Ops was unable to make it and because of my tight budget (downside of not having looked for a job) and other inconveniences, I too will probably be unable to make it. Sorry again, Kieran.
So yea, it's going to be a potentially boring month for me. Probably about as boring as this news post will have been to most of you, but it was the first of the month and I had to write something. I guess my time will be spent reading, watching DVDs and playing video games.
I guess the other way to kill time in Scotland is to get out walking more and admiring our wonderful country in its full glory. I take my dog walks every day and enjoy trying to find new routes, but it's quite hard without venturing too far. Anyway, I guess this is one of my favourite local views. Shame about the camera quality though:

A New Pastime - 09/06/11
A few days back I decided to order Volume 1 of The Walking Dead comics and it arrived this morning in the mail. It was quite convenient timing to be honest, because I finished reading 1984 this morning which meant I was able to start reading The Walking Dead right away.
First off, I was never much of a reader in the past. I read on a rare occasion and usually finished one book during the summer, but now I'm finding it to be more and more interesting. This is also the first time I have ever really read a comic book or graphic novel since I was a kid. It's really interesting and I prefer viewing the scenes and just reading conversations. The only downside is that I've gone through the entire volume in a couple of hours. There's still a little to go, but not much. I think I will order the next 3 volumes and then from there on, keep buying one or two volumes when I have the money to spare.
They really do make an interesting read, and the comic book thing is a new experience for me.

Also go on an epic journey through the fields to that mountain in the distance.

Okay, okay, I will give the Commodore a play at some point. I'm just scared it dies on me one day :(
That would be a pretty epic journey. I will take my Hobbit friends, find a ring and we will travel to that mountain! You're welcome to join me on my journey.
